Get to Know Your Counselor

Hi, I'm Ashley Treder, and I'm honored to serve as the Director of the Members Assistance Program since 2023. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), and Licensed Assistance Professional Certified (LAP-C). My professional background includes work in private practice, insurance, healthcare, and domestic violence programs, and today I have the privilege of supporting members and their families through MAP.

I also grew up in a union family, my father was a proud member of IBEW Local 134. Being raised in that community shaped who I am today and gave me a deep respect for the hard work, resilience, and challenges that union members and their families face. That's why I am so passionate about serving this population: it's not just my profession, it's personal.

My passion has always been helping people through each season of life, whether that's navigating school pressures, managing workplace stress, healing from trauma, strengthening relationships, or simply finding balance in the day-to-day. I believe counseling should feel like a safe and supportive space where you can be heard without judgment, gain new tools, and rediscover your own resilience.

A little about me: I studied at Montana State University, where I developed a deep love for nature and the outdoors. That appreciation for wide open spaces and fresh air still grounds me today. Outside of work, you'll often find me reading a good book, spending time in the woods, or recharging at the gym. These personal passions remind me daily of the importance of balance, something I strive to help members create in their own lives.

At MAP, my mission is simple: to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you move forward. No problem is too small, and no struggle is too heavy to bring into this space. Every member, and every family member, deserves access to care, compassion, and the reminder that they are not alone.

I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you on your journey!
