Consider Your Needs
Chapter 5. Health Insurance

Policies vary; so do costs and what is covers. Ask your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) representative for information on the health insurance your company offers. Before you choose one plan over another get answers to these questions:
Is my whole family covered?
Are most services covered?
Are routine checkups covered?
Are well-care visits covered?
Are immunizations covered?
Is maternity care covered?
Are there deductibles? What are they?
Are there limits if my problem is chronic?
How many days are covered in the hospital?
Are psychological services covered?
Can I choose my provider? Can I be seen by the same provider at each visit?
Are specialist visits covered?

Compare the answers you get from the insurance plans you are considering. Decide what is important to you and your family. Choose the plan that best meets your needs.
