Annuity Fund Important Notes

The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that the effective yield for the CIGNA Charter Guaranteed Income Fund will be 3.55% for the period July 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004.  This yield is net of an asset charge of .25%, and is guaranteed not to change during the above time frame.

While no one can predict the direction that interest rates will take in the future, investing a portion of your retirement savings in fixed-rate investments in as excellent way to diversify your retirement savings plan.  We are pleased that the GIF yield remains highly attractive relative to other fixed income alternatives.

• You can access your account information on the internet.  CIGNA's AnswerNet address is https://answernet.retire.cigna.com
• CIGNA PIN number is required to use the Answerline. Call the Fund Office if you do not have a PIN.
• You must attend a CIGNA workshop before you can make transfers between the different investment options. Call the Fund Office to inquire about the workshop schedules.
• The provisions of the Plan have not changed, you are still limited to one withdrawal or rollover per calendar year. You may withdraw all but the last two years of contributions in your account. Refer to your SPD for complete plan provisions.
• If you are married, your spouse’s notarized signature is required on all withdrawal applications.
• You may request withdrawal or rollover applications over the phone, through CIGNA’s Answerline, but all applications must be approved by the Benefit Office.
